Waiting For The Eye Lids To Close

Well here I sit, in my sons room waiting for his little eyes to close
and not pop right back up. Isaac is so funny because he never likes to
go to sleep the same way twice in a row. Some nights we have to rock
him. Some nights we put him in his swing. Some nights he falls asleep
in his crib.

Tonight he is in his swing and is excitingly close to falling asleep.
Then I can do the same!

I love being a father. Also I am grateful for caffeine...for without
it I might be lost.

Good night/morning to you all.

Iran

What are your thoughts about what is happening in Iran? Is our
government doing the right thing but staying as far out of it as
possible?

I am torn. I understand that getting involved in anyway is complicated
but this is a lot of people that simply want to be heard. Don't their
voices matter?

I am impressed and in awe with how the use of technology has helped
make the voices of the Iranian people louder than it has been in a
long time. Twitter has cemented itself into the history books as a key
piece of this revolution, no matter the outcome. To think that 20 or
30 years ago this would be happening and no one would no...is insane.

Thoughts? Be praying for peace. Be praying for justice. Be praying for
the people of Iran to stand with one voice against oppression.

Self Checkout

To the people in the self checkout line: If you don't know how to use
it and know that you won't catch on quickly please refrain from using
it between the hours of dinner time and shortly thereafter.

Thank you and have a pleasant evening.

While watching a DVD (House) tonight my mother inlaw asked me to make
some popcorn. Without skipping a beat I responded that I would make
some during the next commercial (which DVDs don't have).

20 minutes later she realized there were no commercials to be had.

Summer of the Fly

I am all for the ethical treatment of animals. Really I am. Apparently President Obama killed a fly during an interview and PETA has responded saying they wish he wouldn't have done that. They are also sending him a "humane fly catcher" so that White House flies can be caught and released outside.

I'm serious. Read the article here.

I hereby pledge to swat at and hopefully terminate as many flies as I possibly can. I'm calling it the Summer of the Fly.

Who's with me?

Like their objection to the fish tossing at Pike Place Market this just seems like another way to get the organization in the news.

A feeble attempt at swelling their ranks with vulnerable and most likely unintelligent human beings that appear to worship animals in ways we haven't seen for a long time.

Oh well.

Here's to the Summer of the Fly.
